"Is the Pastoral Care strong at PGS"
Yes. It is undoubtedly one of the strengths of the school. All pupils
are welcome to approach any member of staff about any topic at any
time of mutual convenience. The Headmaster is free from 8.20 a.m.
to 8.30 a.m. to see any pupil without appointment. In the Senior
School every pupil has a tutor and in addition there are Heads of
House, Deputy Heads of House, Heads of Year and Deputy Heads of
Year.

"Is there also a specialist pastoral team beyond the teaching
staff?"
Yes. There are two school nurses and three school doctors. There
is also the school counsellor, who is accessible to pupils, to parents,
and the school Chaplain. We also have close links with a number
of specialist external agencies.

"What do I do if I have a concern?"
The Form Teacher (Junior School) or Tutor (Senior School) is the
best first point of contact. They – or you – can then
move the concern on as is most appropriate.

feel relaxed and confident.
