The school has a unique standing within the city and its reputation attracts girls and boys from a wide catchment area.
Our main points of entry are 4+, 7+, 11+, 13+ and Sixth Form. Places in intermediate year groups can sometimes become available.

The school's main Open occasion is an Open Morning early in the Autumn term. This year's event will take place on Saturday 25 September 2010 between 0930 and 1230, and is open to all parents, current and prospective to the whole school inclusive of our Nursery. The Headmaster will make an address to attendees in the David Russell Theatre at 1030. There are also Open Afternoons throughout the year.
