Welcome to the PGS Development Office

The Development Office is the administrative hub for all OP activity. It works closely with the Old Portmuthian Club, OP Charity, Junior School Association and Parents Forum, which all meet regularly under the umbrella of the PGS Association.

We actively seek philanthropic support from individuals, including our alumni, companies, charitable trusts and other organisations in the UK and around the world. Every gift, no what size, makes a real and lasting difference to the programmes, facilities and services we can offer to pupils. So, whether you wish to make a single gift or establish a regular direct debit, all donations are greatly appreciated and vital to the continued success of your school. Please refer to the Making a Donation page for details of the many ways in which you can show your support.

The Portsmouth Grammar School alumni magazine Opus is published twice-yearly and is edited and produced by the Development Office. It features updates on the achievements of former pupils as well as a summary of school activities and forthcoming reunions and events designed especially for Old Portmuthians. Opus is distributed free of charge to all former pupils, parents and staff, friends and supporters of the School. Please do get in touch with the Development Office if you would like to be included on the distribution list or download the latest copy from the Newsletter and Mailing tab on the left.

From cufflinks to cards and brollies to bears, there is an expanding range of PGS-branded merchandise produced by the Development Office, including of course Independent Vision, the definitive full-colour history of the School. Please see Mementoes, Merchandise, Memorabilia for further information. Every purchase you make directly benefits the school.

From one-off reunions to regular lunches, there is a rolling programme of social events to welcome you back and active OP networks throughout the world so that you are never far away from your PGS peers. Please refer to the Events page for details of what's in store over the coming months and How to Contact Us for information of OPs in your profession or living nearby.

There are lots of opportunities to reconnect with and support PGS. No matter where you are in the world, we do hope that you will stay in touch.
