Sixth former, Ian Pethick, has already found his voice on the international stage and is about to take part in a piece of history.

 

Ian has been invited to attend the celebrations of the 56th inauguration of the President of the United States as a reward for representing the UK in the Model United Nations debate which took place at UN Headquarters in New York.

 

Next January he will take his place as an Inaugural scholar at the University Inaugural Conference where he will join the most highly acclaimed students from America in their celebrations.

 

'Ian is already recognised as a leading light in debating and politics,' said Assistant Head and Head of Sixth Form, Miss Lara Pechard 'and he looks set for a glittering career.'
