Founded in 1855, the main purpose of The Old Portmuthian Club is to facilitate contacts between former pupils of The Portsmouth Grammar School. It does this through magazines (Opus) and Newsletters and by organising social events.

The Club also provides financial support to current and former pupils of the School via the OP Charity.

All former pupils are encouraged to join, no matter when they left the School. There is no joining fee or annual subscription (although a small donation would be welcomed).
