We provide an extensive programme of means-tested financial assistance in the Senior School from 11-18 years and are extremely grateful to our alumni, friends and the school community, whose generosity makes it possible for a growing number of pupils to join PGS each year regardless of their financial situation.
Assistance with fees is awarded based on financial need and reflects the outstanding academic potential of an individual pupil regardless of their ability to afford the school fees. The main points of entry are at 11+, 13+ and Sixth Form and it is typically at these points that financial support is awarded.
Further information on financial assistance can be found by clicking here.
Those families wishing to apply for means-tested financial assistance should complete the application form and submit this by the end of November preceding the September of entry.
Scholarships are awarded to recognise exceptional academic or co-curricular ability and are not means-tested. All candidates are automatically considered for academic scholarships at 11+, 13+ and Sixth Form – these do not need to be applied for.
Additionally, scholarships can also be awarded for excellence in Art, Drama, Music and Sport at 11+, 13+ and Sixth Form, these need to be applied for and applications must be submitted by the end of November preceding the September of entry. Existing PGS pupils may also apply for consideration for these awards once they become eligible. Scholarships are generally awarded for up to 6% of school fees, even in exceptional cases where multiple awards are accumulated.
