An unseasonably mild afternoon did little to stop the junior school feeling festive last Friday as pupils, parents, family members and staff joined together to officially start the Christmas season.

Carols on the Quad, featuring our choirs and Brass Band got everyone in the spirit and good voice. Then Father Christmas arrived, with his elves, to switch on the Christmas tree lights. Unbelievably, it then started to snow as the JSA Christmas Fayre was announced open.

The Fayre was an epic event with Father Christmas, in his beautiful sleigh, accompanied by Comet the reindeer. There were stalls aplenty (the ever popular ABC stall selling out of stock in record time), mince pies, mulled wine and even a bucking reindeer.

It was fantastic family event and one that will raise extra funds for the JSA.
