House Drama 2021 lived up to the standard of showcasing an eclectic and high-quality range of performances, genres and styles. There were Monologues, Duologues and Group pieces drawn from sources as diverse as Lord of The Flies, Better Call Saul, Miranda, The Curious Incident of The Dog In The Night-Time, The Real Inspector Hound, Brooklyn 99 and the forthcoming Sixth Form play, Monsters. The performances had all been pre-recorded by the pupils and were premiered online on Wednesday evening. Director of A Chorus Line and ex-pupil James Gulliford presided over the judging, and his verdicts were as follows:
Best Monologue – Maisie English for Monsters SMITH
Best Duologue – Archie Elliot and Isabelle Durrant for The Unreturning WHITCOMBE
Best Group – Lucy Albuery, Rebecca Cleary, Willow Armstrong and Maddy Peel for Brooklyn 99 GRANT
Best Actor – Duncan Jeynes for The Real Inspector Hound LATTER
Best Actress – Freya Stevens for The Curious Incident of the Dog In The Night-time WHITCOMBE
