The new school year provides Year Six pupils with the opportunity to take on extra responsibilities and take a more active role in helping to run their school. As Year Six is traditionally a large year group those responsibilities change on a termly basis ensuring that all pupils have the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to carry out their roles effectively.

Our School Monitors and Head Boy and Girl met with Mr Hopkinson, Mr Ashcroft and Mrs Giles last week to discuss their roles and how important they are. Michael and Susie have already carried out one of their most important jobs; leading readings and prayers in the New Term Assembly held at Portsmouth Cathedral, in front of the whole school community, doing so with great confidence and poise.

Our team of Librarians have also been busy helping Miss Jennings prepare the library for the new school year. They are also looking forward to helping the younger children with their reading.
