Portsmouth Cathedral hosted the first whole school assembly of the academic year and it was certainly one to remember.

The children looked resplendent in their pristine school uniforms and were joined by their teachers, TAs and family members to celebrate the beginning of the new school year.

The children shared the things they were looking forward to, read poems and talked about changes.

They then had to guess the staff from their baby and toddler photos, which caused much hilarity and a great deal of scratching of heads.

Canon Peter showed off his artistic talents and we all joined in singing some of our favourite songs.

It was good to see all the children back in school after the summer break and especially good to welcome 88 new children into the Junior School.
