16 teams rocked up to Hilsea Playing Fields to battle it out at our U11A&B Rugby Sevens Tournament. This is now the sixth year this tournament has been running which still attracts schools from Surrey, Dorset, Hampshire, and Sussex.

The high standard of rugby on display was great to watch even though the wind and rain was relentless. Our U11B team played 6 matches in the B strand tournament managing to finish second in the group stage. They then played a playoff against first place Twyford that resulted in a 0-0 draw, meaning that both sides collected gold medals for finishing top.

Our U11A teams were in fine form during the group stages of the A strand tournament. They finished top above Yateley Manor, St John’s, Sherborne House and Prince’s Mead. This meant we qualified for the cup group. After some brave performances, in particular a 1-1 draw against Twyford, they finished 4th overall. A hard fought afternoon that every player should be proud of.
