The Portsmouth Grammar School has been named in the top 100 Independent Sports Schools for 2017.

The list reflects achievement in a range of sports throughout 2017 in more than 120 different national competitions. PGS was ranked 37th and is one of only three co-educational schools in the top 50.  Click here for the full list.

Last year our participation in sport at PGS was phenomenal, 97% of our Middle School pupils (Years 7 and 8) represented PGS Sport, 82% of our Upper School pupils (Years 9, 10 & 11) and 51% of our Sixth Form pupils.  On average we had over 400 visits to our fitness facilities every week.  We also provided ball crew for last year’s LTA International Tennis Tournament at Canoe Lake.  Below are listed just some of the tournaments where PGS pupils represented the school last year.
