Last week pupils across the school took part in activities for Safer Internet Day.
In the Junior School, children were reminded of how to stay safe when using the internet. The Infants learned Sherlock’s ‘using your tablet safely’ song and the Juniors created adverts with stay safe messages such as ‘Stop, Block, Tell.’
Senior School and Sixth Form pupils took part in activities during tutor time focused on ‘consent’ and made our pupils really consider all the possible implications of their posts and whether or not it was appropriate to ask for consent first. The tutor group sessions were really thought provoking and really made you think more about how the choices we make online could be affecting our friends. Pupil’s often think about how they would feel in a situation and do not always consider that someone else may feel very differently.
