It was fantastic to see and hear PGS Brass open the D-Day 75 celebrations last weekend on the big stage on Southsea Common.  It was a real privilege to represent the school and the city in commemorating and paying tribute to the sacrifices made by so many brave men and women.  The large crowd were hugely enthusiastic about their music.  The night before the choristers performed James Olsen’s special commission The Key Note of Everything to be Simplicity with other Portsmouth children and members of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

PGS Brass will be performing at Gunwharf Quays on Friday 21st June at midday as part of Portsmouth Festivities.  Other Portsmouth Festivities events that our pupils are involved with include the Opening Concert by The Cardinall’s Musick at St Thomas’ Cathedral on Friday 14th June and the concert with Jason Rebello Trio in the DRT on Tuesday 18th June. Also, coming up on Tuesday 25th June is the Duets and Small Ensembles Concert in the Rotunda at 7pm.  Tickets are free, do reserve your ticket by clicking here
