Following on from National RSE Day last week, which was a day to celebrate Relationships & Sex Education that promotes the wellbeing of, and safeguards, children and young people, we are delighted to announce that Mrs Morgan, our Head of Pupil Wellbeing, has been named the winner of the RSE Teaching Awards 2020 – Secondary.

The judging panel of education experts were impressed by Jo’s exceptional impact on pupils during and beyond their time at school and the open and honest approach to her lessons and training of other staff. Mrs Morgan said “I am honoured to accept this award and so pleased to hear the positive impact of the work we have been doing in our RSE lessons. I am absolutely passionate about delivering outstanding RSE and it is fantastic to see PGS recognised as leaders in this field.”

A former pupil who contributed to the nomination wrote, “what makes Mrs Morgan exceptional is that though she creates a safety bubble, the atmosphere of positivity around sex and relationships has spread across the majority of the faculty and school.”
