The Pupils’ Uganda Group – affectionately known as PUG – filled the DRT with music earlier this term to raise funds for our partners in learning, Kikaaya College School in Uganda.
The school has been partnered with KCS since for several years with pupils and staff visiting the school over recent years helping with a variety of infrastructure projects, as well as taking part in and teaching classes. Preparation is already well underway for the next trip out to Uganda this summer.
Pupils throughout the school have been incredibly engaged with fundraising initiatives, which was exemplified at the PUG Gig. The evening featured performances from pupils in Year 10 – notably future super group Isolated Islands – and the PGS African Drumming Group. Through these fantastic efforts including a cake sale on the evening over £750 was raised.
Thank you to everyone that took part and donated so generously.
