Work With Us

At the heart of our school community are our incredibly talented, dedicated and caring staff.

We seek to recruit talented staff who are not only expert in their field, but also committed to our values, passionate about developing young people to thrive in the world beyond school, dedicated to the highest standards of individual care, and keen to contribute to the wider life of the school.

We attach great value to supporting our staff to develop and grow in their work through stimulating Professional Development Days, creative collaboration within and between departments, and coaching and peer mentoring.

We regularly support trainee teachers and newly qualified teachers and have a robust internal programme of support for early-career staff, alongside a middle leadership programme to support those in post or aspiring to take on a middle leadership role.

We encourage all those interested in working with us to email HR: [email protected]

PGS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Please click here for the PGS Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Procedure.

Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.

Please read our Recruitment, Selection and Disclosure Policy and Procedure which you can find on our School Policies pages, click here.
