We know how important it is to select the right school for your child, and we are here to support families in finding out more about the opportunities on offer at PGS and experiencing what makes this such a special place.
Points of Entry
We are fully co-educational throughout the school, and pupils may join at the following main entry points.
- 2½ (Pre-School)
- 4+ (Reception)
- 7+ (Year 3)
- 11+ (Year 7)
- 13+ (Year 9)
- 16+ (Sixth Form)
It is on occasion possible to offer places in other year groups, and we are experienced in supporting families who are relocating to the area from other parts of the UK or overseas.
How to Apply
For entry in to the Senior School and Sixth Form in September 2025, we have made the decision to move our entrance interview and assessment dates forward to November 2024.
Moving the assessments forward in the academic year gives you more time to make the right decision for the next step in your child's education and peace of mind before the end of the Autumn term, it also takes the pressure off your child before the busy festive period.
We will be hosting more open afternoons before the 2024 summer holiday to ensure you have plenty of opportunity to visit PGS and speak to our staff and current pupils. There will be taster days (non-assessment linked) for everyone that has applied for 2025 entry in October 2024 so that your child has the opportunity to get to know the school and the other children that have applied to join their year group.
Closing date for 2025 entry applications is Friday 20th September.
