Work With Us

At the heart of our school community are our incredibly talented, dedicated and caring staff.

We seek to recruit talented staff who are experts in their field, committed to our values, passionate about developing young people to thrive in the world beyond school, dedicated to the highest standards of individual care, and keen to contribute to the wider life of the school.

We attach great value to supporting our staff to develop and grow in their work through stimulating Professional Development Days, creative collaboration within and between departments, and coaching and peer mentoring.

We regularly support trainee teachers and newly qualified teachers and have a robust internal programme of support for early-career staff, alongside a middle leadership programme to support those in post or aspiring to take on a middle leadership role.

We encourage all those interested in working with us to email our HR team at [email protected]

PGS is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.

Our Recruitment, Selection and Disclosure Policy and Procedure and our PGS Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy and Procedure can be found on our school policies page.

GROUNDSKEEPER

Permanent
Required for September 2024

We are recruiting for a Groundskeeper to join our groundskeeping team in support of the maintenance of our grounds and the preparation of our playing surfaces.

This is a full-time position and the hours of work will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, where Saturday is the busiest day for sports fixtures, and thus Saturday working during term time is regularly required. Where Saturday working is required, it is expected a day off during the week will be taken in lieu, such that the 37.5 working hours are spread across five days each week. The normal school hours of work are from 8.30am to 4.30pm, inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid lunch break each day. The role holder will need to work flexibly on a regular basis as required by the Head Groundskeeper to cover some mornings and evenings in support of the sports programme and on these days the hours of work will need to be adjusted accordingly.

Full details are available on TES and candidates are asked to apply using the online application form (quick apply) linked to our advert on TES
