Pupils from Reception to Year 6 are invited and encouraged to take part in the School’s comprehensive co curricular programme, which provides a dazzling array of opportunities for them to learn new skills, develop new interests and have fun. Our children regularly provide input into the list of clubs we run as we want to provide activities we know they will enjoy. The co curricular programme complements superbly the taught curriculum and links to it via our Connected Curriculum.
The programme of activities changes each term so that children can try different clubs throughout the year and every child will find something to challenge them and enjoy.
Sports clubs include the traditional; rugby, football, cricket, netball and hockey in addition to specialist clubs like skiing, tennis, karate and judo. Arts and crafts are complemented by construction and comic making clubs. Those pupils who enjoy dancing will enjoy our ballet, ballroom, Irish and street dance clubs, while those who may like a different kind of performance will revel in our LAMDA and circus skills clubs.
Co Curricular clubs provide the perfect balance to the rigours of the school day and the fact that so many of our pupils participate in them is endorsement of their great popularity.Logical thinkers will stretch their minds in our science, computer, memory or quiz clubs while those with an interest in music may want to join one of our many choirs, bands or orchestras.
